Crawford Interactive Design is a company run by artist and inventer Langdon Crawford. CID builds quality interactive systems and content for performance and installations.

The first Crawford Interactive Design product to be made for general purchase is the MIDI Airguitar, first developed in 2006. The MIDI Airguitar is a hardware software package that allows a musician to control the computer with gestures such as those used by Airguitarists, while having precision control of sound/music/video.

Previous projects include:
• simple midi controlled noise synthesizers using ubiquitous 7555 ICs.
• Custom embeded controller interfaces: gloves, volleyball and tango shoe.
• Software mapping patches such as wii to drums, theatrical lights/video
• Theremin to audio/video controls
